School Meals

Allergy-Aware School Policy

Healing Primary Academy is an allergy-aware school. We take food allergies, intolerances, and dietary needs very seriously to keep our pupils, staff, and visitors safe.

  • No Nut Products On Site: To protect children and staff with severe allergies, please ensure that no items containing nuts or nut products are brought onto the school premises at any time, including during drop-off, collection, or extra-curricular events.

  • Special Dietary Requirements: If your child has a medical food allergy or dietary requirement, please notify the school office and inform our catering team when setting up your online ordering account.

Catering & Meal Bookings

Our daily lunches are provided by Good Lookin Cookin, offering fresh, nutritious, and balanced hot meals cooked daily.

All school meals must be pre-ordered online directly through the caterer’s parent portal:

Booking Reminders: Please make sure all meal choices are submitted in advance via the parent portal. Cancellations or changes must be made before the caterer’s cutoff deadline.

Good Lookin Cookin

If you prefer for your child not to have a cooked school meal, please provide a healthy packed lunch from home.

  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

Checking eligibility and applying online takes only a few minutes. You can apply directly through the local authority portal:

Important for Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 Families: Even though your child automatically receives a free meal under the Universal Infant scheme, please still apply if you qualify. Every successful registration secures vital Pupil Premium funding directly for Healing Primary Academy to support your child’s education and learning resources.

Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)

All children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 automatically receive a free school lunch every day under the government’s Universal Infant scheme.
