This year Healing Primary Academy celebrated World Book Day by wearing our pyjamas and bringing our favourite bedtime reads to share. The children completed a whole range of book themed activities throughout the day. We love reading!

Healing Primary have launched a ‘mystery reader;’ initiative. We have invited visitors from our families and local community to read a story to our classes. The identity of the reader is kept secret until they arrive. The children have been super excited to see their parents and grandparents revealed as the ‘mystery reader.’ Thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far.

Healing Primary’s Foundation Stage had a very special visit from a vet, a tortoise and two guinea pigs!

Two children assisted Dr Buckland with operating on a dog patient that had accidentally eaten a toy car.

The children were then introduced to the tortoise and guinea pigs. Thank you, Dr Buckland!

We are so excited to announce that Healing Primary is now part of the Children’s University. The Children’s University is a charity, which works in partnership with schools to develop a love of learning in children. They do this by encouraging and celebrating participation in extra-curricular activities in and outside of school.
