Applications
To apply for a place at Healing Primary Academy, here’s what you need to do:
Children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 will be starting school for the first time (Reception year) in September 2026.
The first-round application period for this process will open online on 7 November 2025 and close on 15 January 2026.
You will not be able to submit an application before the opening date.
Full information on how to apply will be available on this page from the start of November 2025. Information on the application process will also be provided to nurseries and childcare providers throughout North East Lincolnshire.

Children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 are due to start secondary school in September 2026.
The first-round application period for this process will open on 1 September 2025 and close on 31 October 2025. Applications submitted after this time will be considered late.
First-round applicants will receive notification of their school allocation decisions by email or via their Portal account on National Offer Day, 2 March 2026.
All parent/carers are advised to register and apply online as this will allow immediate confirmation of your application submission to the School Admissions Team. You will also receive quicker notification of your school place decision by email/via your Parent Portal account on National Offer Day.
Request to change primary school within the academic year.
Please allow at least 15 school days from submission of your application to receive notification of decisions made on the parent portal on the nelincs website. A copy of the application form can also be found in the documents below.

Please inform the respective council and Healing Primary Academy immediately of any change of address in writing and ensure that you follow up within 10 working days to confirm details have been received.
School Admission Arrangements:
North East Lincolnshire Council is responsible for the admission arrangements for the community and voluntary controlled primary schools.
The admission authorities for primary and secondary voluntary aided schools and academies are the governors or academy trust of the individual schools and academies. Some academies have their own admission policy however some academies follow the North East Lincolnshire Admission Policy for community schools.
Admission Arrangements must be set annually by 28th February and published by 15th March. Once all arrangements have been determined, arrangements can be objected to and referred to the School’s Adjudicator. Objections to admission arrangements must be referred to the Adjudicator by 15th May in the school year before those arrangements are to apply (the determination year).
